We respectfully ask you not to ask to stay with other disciples, and we will be advising our members in Orlando and neighboring cities to likewise stay ON SITE. We don’t want to sound insensitive to those who are trying to attend the conference on a budget, but we would encourage you to do everything you can to save and stay close. The conference experience - although exciting and faith-building - is also physically exhausting. Bring your Fitbit because even if you are staying nearby, you will for sure get your 10,000 steps in, probably before lunch! The city is very spread out and travel to the conference, parking, and trying to get to the classes, and general sessions will be compounded if you are staying off-site. And remember Orlando in July is very hot, humid, and frequently experiences afternoon thunderstorms. So the more central you are to the OCCC, the better. So while you may be hoping to save a little money staying off-site, we would sincerely encourage you to stick as close to the action as possible. We have tried to secure enough rooms for us near the Convention Center so that you can maximize your conference experience.
